Hello
PCW Design and Build is a design-build studio focused on creating refined, well-executed residential and commercial spaces. The company brings together general contracting, custom fabrication, and design thinking to deliver projects that are cohesive from concept through completion.
With a strong foundation in industrial design and fine woodworking, PCW specializes in custom carpentry, cabinetry, and detail-driven construction, while also managing full remodels and new builds. Projects are approached holistically—prioritizing clear communication, thoughtful planning, and craftsmanship at every scale. This website offers a look into the process, philosophy, and body of work behind PCW, and serves as a starting point for clients seeking a collaborative, design-led building experience.
My Story
I was born and raised in Colorado and have always been drawn to building, problem-solving, and art. From early hands-on creativity—Legos, ceramics, and studio art—to a lifelong connection with the outdoors, I developed an appreciation for both precision and exploration. I’ve always been independent by nature, gravitating toward pursuits like mountain biking and skiing that reward discipline, focus, and individual effort.
After high school, I moved to Breckenridge to immerse myself in skiing. While those years were formative, I eventually returned to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design, where I learned how to translate ideas into tangible, functional outcomes. My education emphasized visual communication, proportion, materiality, and the relationship between form and function—principles that continue to guide my work today.
Throughout college, I worked with a small local construction company, gaining hands-on experience in quality building practices and learning how to collaborate effectively with designers, builders, and homeowners. After graduating, I joined a design-build firm as their lead in-house industrial designer and fabricator. There, I refined my ability to develop custom, one-off solutions and helped establish the company’s fabrication division by installing, programming, and operating a CNC machine.
I later transitioned into project management, overseeing remodels and new construction projects. This role sharpened my skills in estimating, scheduling, and guiding projects from early planning through completion—ensuring design intent was maintained throughout the build.
In early 2025, I founded PCW Design and Build to unify design, fabrication, and construction under one practice. The studio is built on the belief that thoughtful design, clear process, and skilled execution lead to better outcomes. The projects featured in the portfolio reflect this approach, and I look forward to continuing to expand that body of work.
Outside of work, I value physical training, time in the mountains, and working on my Toyota 4Runner. I recently got engaged and am planning to get married in early 2027.
